SNAPTANK, a revolutionary advancement in portable water tanks, has been recognized by US and Canadian patent and trademark offices for its unique design and engineering. Already a favorite by rural, interface, and wildland fire fighters, the SNAPTANK is lightweight, compact, durable and easy to set-up.
The SNAPTANK was designed by Western Shelter Systems at the request of the U.S. Forest Service to be small and lightweight for easy transport by helicopter and overnight courier service. Tanker and pumper engineers like it because it fits in standard compartments and is lightweight. It has been in service with hundreds of departments and agencies since 2003.
Available in five capacities of 1,000 to 3,000 gallons, the SNAPTANK can fit in compartments a small as 39” x 16” x 14”. It weighs as little as 67 lbs.
Its unique snap-together assembly allows it to conform to uneven ground. One or two people can assemble the SNAPTANK in just a few minutes. A video of how to assemble a SNAPTANK is available on DVD by request and for downloading from the Western Shelter Systems website at http://www.westernshelter.com/commercial/videos/32.
The SNAPTANK frame is constructed with aircraft-grade aluminum rectangular bars of 6063-T5 and 6061-T6 alloy with clear industrial-grade anodizing. The frame supports a heavy-duty 22 oz. vinyl tank liner with integral 3” FNPT flange. Other flanges are optional. There is a protective vinyl flap cover to protect the flange from damage. Each tank liner is labeled with fluid level marks in 250-gallon increments.
SNAPTANK is the convenience of a space-saving, self-supporting portable tank with the strength and support of a frame tank. It the easy-to-deploy alternative to traditional rigid-frame relay tanks without wasting valuable rack space.
